Some attacks cause knockback, as noted in the attack list as "causes knockback." What this means is that when you hit somebody with one of these moves, the target can be expected to go flying! Whamn! The formula for knockback damage is simple. It is as follows: (Move power/target's weight)x50 To put things into perspective, Giga Impact (150 power) would send Mr. Mime (120.1lbs) back about 62ft, Aggron (793.7lbs) about 9ft, and Joltik (1.3lbs) about 5770ft--over a mile. Of course, inside a dungeon, you're not expected to shoot off a mile away. You'll hit a wall. Wallbounce damage is a flat 1/8 of the victim's max HP, the same as what poison causes per turn. Wallbounce damage won't be taken unless the target of a knockback attack was at least 10ft away from the wall. A knocked-back pokémon can also hit another Pokémon if they're in the way, causing 1/8 max HP damage to both and breaking the knockback. You generally can't aim knockback though. The target is sent in the direction opposite the attack. If the attack can aim knockback, such is noted on the attack list.
